The Purpose of this blog is to write about plot, character, and theme developement while I read the novel, "The Great Gatsby", by F.Scott Fitzgerald. My intent of this blog is to write a summary of each chapter, describe how the characters change throughout the novel and connect the main theme to the real world. Theme Development

A new theme of religion and God has been developed. The billboard with the eyes has been connected to the eyes of God. The theme is that God is always watching our actions and is open to give us guidance when it is needed. George Wilson makes this connection stating that we cannot lie to God and that God knows the truth of our actions and words.
Gatsby's American Dream was brought to an abrupt stop when he is murdered by George. Gatsby was not able to live his life with Daisy but he gained a true friend. Nick was always there to support Gatsby in times of need.
