The Purpose of this blog is to write about plot, character, and theme developement while I read the novel, "The Great Gatsby", by F.Scott Fitzgerald. My intent of this blog is to write a summary of each chapter, describe how the characters change throughout the novel and connect the main theme to the real world. Theme Development

The American Dream always consists of a rich man who has a beautiful women around his arm. Gatsby has money but he has lost his women, Daisy, who represents everything about the past to Gatsby. He idolises Daisy and wants to get her love back. The green light on Daisy's dock symbolises her love and how Gatsby cannot reach it. Gatsby wants to live the American dream with a women, that is Daisy, who can love him.
