The Purpose of this blog is to write about plot, character, and theme developement while I read the novel, "The Great Gatsby", by F.Scott Fitzgerald. My intent of this blog is to write a summary of each chapter, describe how the characters change throughout the novel and connect the main theme to the real world. Theme Development

It is shown through his fancy car, big mansion and luxurious parties that Jay Gatsby is extremely wealthy. There are alot of rumours going around about Gatsby so no one really knows where his money is coming from.

Nick is an honest and hard working man who makes his money working in the Bond Business. Hard work pays off and one day Nick will earn enough money to support himself and a family in the future. However not everybody makes their money in an honest way. An example of this is shown in 50 Cent's movie "Get Rich or Die Trying". In this movie 50 Cent is part of an illegal Mob that steals, kills and sells drugs to get money.
