The Purpose of this blog is to write about plot, character, and theme developement while I read the novel, "The Great Gatsby", by F.Scott Fitzgerald. My intent of this blog is to write a summary of each chapter, describe how the characters change throughout the novel and connect the main theme to the real world. Character Development

Nick and Gatsby are becoming real friends and show that they are beginning to care for one another. Nick tries to cheer up his friend with a genuine compliment. Nick believes Gatsby is above all the people who start rumours about him. Nick wants to give Gatsby confidence and see his friend live a happy life.

Nick and Gatsby's newly formed friendship reminds me of Buzz and Woody from the Disney film "Toy Story". At first Woody is jealous and looks at Buzz Light Year with suspicion just like Nick did with Gatsby. However, over time Buzz and Woody become friends and have each others backs. Their bond between each other reminds me of the friendship that Nick has created with Gatsby.
