The Purpose of this blog is to write about plot, character, and theme developement while I read the novel, "The Great Gatsby", by F.Scott Fitzgerald. My intent of this blog is to write a summary of each chapter, describe how the characters change throughout the novel and connect the main theme to the real world. The Great Gatsby novel reminds of the book/movie "The Count of Monte Cristo". In this book there are 2 best friends but one is jealous of the others fiance. The man gets his friend arrested so he goes to jail and loses his women. The man will steal his friends women while he is in jail. This is how Gatsby sees Tom. He believes Tom stole Daisy from him when he went to fight in the war.  Both Gatsby and the friend in Monte Cristo create an alter ego and become rich to get their women's love back and relive the past.
