The Purpose of this blog is to write about plot, character, and theme developement while I read the novel, "The Great Gatsby", by F.Scott Fitzgerald. My intent of this blog is to write a summary of each chapter, describe how the characters change throughout the novel and connect the main theme to the real world. Character development

Gatsby's "friends" don't really care about him or the life that he lived because they cannot make time to go to his funeral. Tom and Daisy are selfish because they move away, only caring about themselves. Nick moves back to Minnesota because he cannot continue living his life in New York City surrounded by fake people.
