The Purpose of this blog is to write about plot, character, and theme developement while I read the novel, "The Great Gatsby", by F.Scott Fitzgerald. My intent of this blog is to write a summary of each chapter, describe how the characters change throughout the novel and connect the main theme to the real world. Theme Development

Gatsby talks to Daisy about the green light on the end of her dock. To Gatsby, this light represents his future with Daisy and their happiness together. However, Nick feels that because Gatsby has idolised Daisy for so long, she cannot live up to his expectations of her. Gatsby is one step closer of reaching the full American dream by having a women that loves him in his life. Gatsby will continue to look at the green light searching for hope until he obtains happiness and Daisy's love once again.
